Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 19, 2026

Moneyspan is a Mac application that stores your financial data in a local file on your device. We do not operate servers, and we do not collect personal information about you.

What Moneyspan stores

All data you enter — income, expenses, investments, balances, notes, dashboards, and so on — is stored in a local .moneyspan document file on your Mac. You choose where the file lives. You can copy, move, back up, or delete it like any other file.

What Moneyspan sends over the network

Moneyspan is designed to work offline. It makes network requests only for:

No other third-party services, analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash-reporting tools are embedded in Moneyspan.

iCloud Drive (optional)

If you choose to save your .moneyspan file in iCloud Drive, Apple's iCloud service will sync it between your devices. This is a standard macOS file operation handled entirely by Apple. Your document data is not routed through servers we operate, because we do not operate any. Apple's privacy terms apply to that sync.

Apple App Store analytics and crash reports

Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash reports and app analytics if you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your Mac's privacy settings. This is controlled by you and is governed by Apple's own privacy terms. Moneyspan adds no tracking beyond what Apple provides at the platform level.

What Moneyspan does not do

Children

Moneyspan is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from any users.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because we do not collect personal data, material changes are unlikely.
